Ikea furniture

Did you know Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ covers beautifully on modern fibreboard furniture, with no prep needed bar a wipe to get rid of any dust or marks? Just grab yourself a brush and a pot of paint and turn that uninspiring white bookshelf or side table into a focal point for your room.

Garden furniture

Whether wood or metal, Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ is a great option when it comes to making your outside area feel part of your home. And why stop at just your garden furniture when you could also use Chalk Paint™ on the shed, planters, trellis and more! A coat of lacquer will help to make sure your finish lasts when painting outdoor items.

Pine

One of the most common questions we are asked by our customers is whether Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ can be used on pine. The answer is a very definite yes! Pine is quite oily so best use primer first if there are on any obvious knots in the wood. This will avoid the oil seeping and discolouring the paintwork over time.

Dye for soft furnishings

Finished a project and have a little paint left over? Did you know it can be diluted and used to dye fabric, creating a co-ordinated look to your soft furnishings. From lampshades and curtains to cushion covers or bedding, the only limit is your imagination! For more of a statement look, use it for tie dye or Japanese Shibori dyeing.

Floors

Wood, concrete, tiles – all can be freshened up with the help of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™. Whether you opt for lime wash effect, solid colour or a stencilled pattern, you can truly personalise your home by painting your flooring.

Mirrors

A great mirror can truly transform a room. Use Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ to update the frame to fit with the rest of your décor. On frames which feature ornate moulding, give gilding a go, to add a touch of elegance.

Repaint fabric

Slightly different to traditional fabric dyeing, it is possible to paint straight onto fabric for a quick transformation. Think seat covers, sun lounger cushions or chair pads – this technique works best on fabric that doesn’t have an open weave. If in doubt try a test patch first.

Stencil detail on glass

A great project for people who love trying their hand at a new craft technique. Pick up a cheap box frame and experiment using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ to stencil on the glass. Or make yourself some bespoke lighting for your next evening barbecue by painting onto an old jam jar and placing a tealight candle inside.

Ceramics

From old lamp bases to flower pots and vases you can easily update your ceramics to fit with the rest of your décor with the help of Chalk Paint™.

Shoes!

Yes – you can even paint your shoes with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™! Canvas pumps or worn leather boots both lend themselves beautifully to this, whether you want to paint them a solid colour or add a more ornate design.
