Adelphi is a soft and complex taupe, or grey-brown, and forms a brilliant base to use as part of complex pastel colour schemes. This perfectly-balanced neutral colour was inspired by the hugely influential neoclassical architect Robert Adam, who frequently showcased this soft shade in the many private residences, churches and theatres he designed.
