Celebrating 35 years of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint

Fine artist and paint legend Annie Sloan CBE is excited to announce five new Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ colours to celebrate 35 years since she invented her revolutionary new decorative furniture paint, perfect for upcycling and revamping all kinds of furniture.

The collection includes two colours the colour expert has wanted to bring out in Chalk Paint for a long time – dramatic reddish-purple Tyrian Plum and Canvas, a perfect warm neutral - together with three new shades inspired by travel and art history: barely-there blush-toned Rococo White, soft muted Jaipur Pink and bold and bright Sandalwood Red. 

1) Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Tyrian Plum

Tyrian Plum is a wonderfully sophisticated earthy dark reddish-purple colour with real warmth and depth. 

2) Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Canvas 

Canvas is a putty-tinted beige, named after the colour you will find on a painter’s canvas. A perfect neutral. 

3) Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Jaipur Pink

Jaipur Pink is a dusty earthy pink with a softness to it. It has the look of traditional plaster – slightly muted with a timeless olde-world quality. 

4) Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Rococo White 

Rococo White is the softest white with a touch of Antionette to give it just a hint of pink. It a pretty neutral white that’s delicate and pretty. 

5) Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Sandalwood Red

Sandalwood Red is a bright, lively colour that sits somewhere between pink and red. It’s a strong dramatic shade of coral. 

Annie says:

“Whilst I didn’t plan them as a collection, these five colours all work beautifully together because they all have warm undertones. I have always been obsessed with pinks from around the world – from the bold colours of Mexico to the muted tones of India through the soft pretty pastels of Scandinavia. Use the brights in this collection to add an eye-catching pop of colour or use the neutrals for a sophisticated elegant look.”

Easy to use and quick to dry, Chalk Paint is the simple way to transform furniture, floors and walls. It works on wood, metal, laminate, concrete, indoors and outdoors and can be used to create a variety of different decorative paint effects.
